As an Assistant Controller, you will be involved in many finance functions of the plant, including all duties associated with the monthly financial close, maintaining a strong internal control environment, maintaining accuracy of the physical inventory, etc.
This position will also provide analytical support to the Plant Controller, assisting in identifying areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Provide analytical support to Plant Controller, managing KPI's, performing cost analysis, etc.
Update and publish daily KPI reports.
Assist in the management of monthly financial close (journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, management reporting).
Assist with preparation of Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Deployment Plan, and monthly forecasting.
Track progress in the operational excellence incentive program and maintain payout accruals.
Track and forecast all cost savings projects Work with supply chain team on inventory analysis and initiatives and coordination of physical inventory.
Assist in maintaining all internal controls as well as assisting with all external and internal audits.
Assist operational excellence initiatives by providing analytical support when applicable, as well as participate in various lean events.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of GAAP accounting and automated accounting systems.
Ability to perform, manage and/or direct multiple tasks and determine priorities.
Lean/Six Sigma experience.
Outstanding PC/Systems knowledge and skills.
Strong communications and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers and outside professionals.
Knowledge of dealing with complex accounting situations, quality standards, product development, technical specifications, and project management.
Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and costing accounting a plus.
Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships.

Experience:

years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing accounting.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Excellent Excel Skills Preferred:
