0 Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description Job Description OVERVIEW The Human Resource Manager manages the human resources department overseeing administration of hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, legal compliance, compensation, benefits, long term staffing strategies, training, and development of manufacturing plant employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Human Resources activities to provide resources and support to management and associates in the manufacturing plant, ensuring positive relations always.
Recruit and present for hire, qualified applicants for open positions as required to keep a steady and efficient workforce in the manufacturing plant Manage the Workers Compensation process (if applicable).
This would include all communication with TPA (Third Party Administrators) as well as managing the filing process Promotes safety in the workplace, coordinates safety awareness and improvement programs with EHS Manager or appropriate safety representative Support the Plant on all issues regarding legal requirements and regulations affecting Human Resources.
Specifically managing any exposure to OSHA, EEOC, OCRC, etc.
Act as a primary contact for the facility with Corporate Counsel and outside agencies Administer associate performance evaluation systems, incentives, and other performance related recognition programs, as appropriate Ensure the Plant is properly administering processes associated with payroll and benefits with Cornerstone representatives.
Oversee the preparation of weekly time reporting to corporate payroll and ensure timeliness and accuracy of reporting Administers and is knowledgeable of all comprehensive benefits programs; is responsive to associate benefits inquiries Administers hourly compensation program in accordance with Cornerstone guidelines Administers company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner, in accordance with Corporate established guidelines Support the operation with necessary training and programming initiatives (i.
e.
, Problem Solving, Improvement Suggestions, 5S) Manage and actively participate in all termination practices Maintain HR related expenses within budgetary guidelines; provide ongoing information regarding turnover, workers compensation activities; paid training hours, and overtime expenses to the appropriate leadership team via written monthly report (if applicable) Manage all investigation processes as they relate to harassment, corporate complaints, workplace violence, etc.
Assist with the formulation of annual department budgets, including forecasts for capital equipment, manpower requirements, etc.
, and provide cost/payback justification for recommended expenditures (if applicable) Manage the performance of the HR Generalist / HR Assistant (If applicable) Ensure those tasks being performed are done accurately, timely, and consistent Provide leadership role in addressing matters regarding associate safety and welfare, and provide associate counseling, direction, and advice in disciplinary and development situations, as required.

or appropriate guidelines are followed and utilized by Managers during coaching and counseling sessions Encourages positive interaction between management and associates; plan and implement associate activities Ensures that their facility is utilizing management practices which result in our associates not seeing a need for a third party Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or comparable discipline required Minimum of 3-5 years Human Resources generalist experience, two of which must have been in a responsible management or supervisory capacity Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required Experience with recruitment at all levels, on-boarding, pay administration, policy interpretation and employee relations required Highly developed oral and written communication skills required Demonstrated, effective skills in dealing with associates at all levels, including proven managerial/supervisory abilities Strong problem-solving skills required.

The US Base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $100,000

Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
